Open PTSA Board Positions for Next Year!

The PTSA is currently seeking volunteers for the following board positions opening up for the 2024/2025 school year:  Vice President (multiple VP roles), Secretary, and Treasurer.  Please reach out to CMS PTSA president Taylor Dansby at culbrethptsapresident@gmail.com if you are interested in volunteering or would like more information.  Any of the current board members would be happy to answer any questions you may have about their roles.

Volunteer Needed to Take Over PTSA E-News for Next Year!

After six years serving as PTSA Vice President of Communications, I'll be stepping down, as my youngest child will be moving on to Carrboro High next year.  If you are looking for a great way to volunteer for the PTSA and be in the know of all the goings-on at CMS, this is the position for you!  The primary duty of the PTSA Vice President of Communications is preparation of the weekly PTSA e-news.  Also, you would serve as moderator for the CMS community Facebook page, including posting items of interest there.  The typical time spent on these duties is about an hour a week.  There's also room to expand the scope of social media outreach and the e-news itself if you are interested in making changes!  If you are interested in volunteering, please email me at culbreth.news@gmail.com.

Thank you for considering!

GoFundMe for Student Services Secretary, Robin Small

Last Monday, Ms. Small's home was flooded due to faulty water heater pipes and she has had quite a bit of damage that insurance is not covering. With her permission, Nurse Kaori has created this GoFundMe for her.  Please help spread the word!

Project Graduation Needs Your Help!

We already have over 900 graduating CHCCS seniors and their guests confirmed to celebrate together on Saturday, June 15 from 11PM - 4AM at the UNC Student Union. As middle school parents, please consider paying it forward now as your child will get to enjoy PG before you know it!
PG gives graduating seniors a safe place to celebrate with fun, food, prizes (including scholarships!), karaoke, bounce houses, dodgeball, dancing, a photo booth, casino, quiet games and crafts, plus hypnotist shows.
This year we will transform 3 floors of the Student Union into an Under the Sea theme. I would be ever so grateful to anyone who signs up to help decorate since we have over 2,600 balloons to blow up starting in the days leading up to the event. High School students receive volunteer hours.
Decorating not your thing? There are many other volunteer slots still open. We are also still collecting donations as we are $8,300 short of our fundraising goal.
